Music Team

Marc Feeney - Conductor

Marc is the founder and artistic director of Fishers Community Chorus. He has served as the principal conductor of the chorus since 2018.  He has performed as both a trumpeter and a singer in numerous ensembles in his career, including Ball State Men's Chorus, The Ball State University Singers, Ball State Symphony Orchestra, White River Wind Symphony,  Alexandria Community Band, Hamilton County Community Band, Mudsock Jazz Combo, and various Nickel Plate Players and Projekt:Opera productions.

Though Marc studied music education at Ball State and has plenty of performance experience, his "day job" is not music-related.  He is a software systems developer for an Indianapolis-based software company.  He has been an avid supporter of the arts in the greater Hamilton County area for over 10 years.  He has served on boards of many local arts organizations, including as a past president of Fishers Music Works, a board member of Fishers Arts Council, and a co-founder, guest conductor, and trumpet section leader for Hamilton County Community Band. Marc is a proud father to his son, River (also deeply talented in music) and he currently resides in Fishers with his fiancee, Lauren.

Jess Hodge - Conductor

The newest additon to FCC's directorial team, Jess is a singer, songwriter and pianist who has conducted vocal and instrumental music in churches since 1993.   She has directed several children’s musicals, and performed in small and large ensembles -- including Sweet Adelines chorus and leading roles in musical theater productions.

An ordained elder in her church, Jess works with youth and as an advocate for survivors of abuse.  She also works full-time in a counseling clinic.  Having reconnected after almost 30 years, Jess married her junior high camp counselor, Riley, in 2015.  She is a mom of 4 and grandma of 2.  When she’s not doing something musical, she enjoys cooking and playing board games.

Tom Weessies - Accompanist

Tom Weessies is the principal accompanist, technical advisor, vocal guru, and all around glue that holds FCC together.  Tom joined FCC in the summer of 2021, after the chorus had been dormant for 18 months. Tom's knowledge, expertise, and patient demeanor were foundational in architecting FCC's triumphant return from the Covid-19 pandemic.  He holds a Bachelor's degree in Music from Western Michigan University and a Masters in Education Administration from Michigan State.

After a 30-year career as a public school choir director and music educator in Michigan, Tom relocated to the Hamilton County, IN area, to be closer to his son Dan, his daughter Stephanie, and his grandchildren.  Though he has retired from the school system, his life is still filled with music.  Tom is the principal organist at Noblesville First United Methodist Church, and a tenor/baritone in their Chancel Choir.
